Sounds like you play a pretty crappy MM... 10 minions is utterly shit compared to the 30 you could get on a good run (or more if things kept throwing bodies at you ). They're is no logic behind nerfing MMs AT ALL, changing AoE to make them flee is just common sense...

AotL does seem to make BotM nice and spammable. I may not be an expert, but can someone point out why exactly getting 10 Vampiric Horrors, all at melee range is better than Fiends? When you have a tank trying to control agro, useless minions that die in 3-4hits attacking things at point blank really does suck... What are you meant to do... spam Death Nova on them and wind up with no army at all?

Did Anet forget about us Prophecies owners when they introduced this? They made about 300 more skills that could totally annihilate minions anyway, added a few more minions then possibly because the Vampiric Horrors would be overpowered in huge armies, trashed the entire f*cking build. Can i use these new uber skills? No. Can i be 'overpowered' in 12vs12s? No. Even if i did have Factions could a single smiting monk using Ray of Judgement kill almost the entire army instantly? Yes.

You can't expect to win if you don't bring counters.

I use minions more the ever this day's. teh 10 minion limit makes it less cool but much easyer in some way's.
I must say that the new vampiric minions is not that great (imo) the recharge time is to high 15 sec and all other have a recharge time of 5, This does not make me not to take them with on a mission or quest but to take 1 more skill for just the minion that heals you a bit? I just take a healing skill, much better IMO.
